TarGanGil Ski Lodge - Charlotte Pass

Summer at TarGanGil Ski Lodge

Nestled among the snow gums, TarGanGil offers the perfect summer escape for couples and families looking for a high country experience in the stunning Kosciuszko National Park.

Guests after adrenalin or total relaxation are equally satiated by the activities on offer both locally in the village and in the Snowy Mountains environs.

Mountain bike riders and hikers keen to summit Australia’s highest peak can head off on the 9 km trip from Charlotte Pass to Mt Kosciuszko where you can literally sit on Australia’s rooftop. If you’re looking for respite, sit back and relax on TarGanGil’s creek-side deck and soak up the panoramic views and serenity of the mountains.

“TarGanGil is a lovely, friendly, comfortable lodge amidst the stunning mountains of Charlotte Pass. It’s an incredibly peaceful, pleasant place from which to do all the wonderful walks in the area. And to wake up to the most delicious breakfast every morning, and come home to an amazing, home-cooked supper, tops things off perfectly. I’d highly recommend David and Noala’s hospitality.”
- Catherine Hill, Editor, Random House Australia, Christmas 2006

Charlotte pass is also the ideal base to take on the Main Range Walk - a 26 km circuit that crosses the UNESCO Kosciuszko Biosphere Reserve and takes in stunning glacial lakes and meadows of alpine flowers.

Shorter walks are available - including the ever popular 5km Blue Lake walk from Charlotte Pass or the 8km hike to Seaman’s Hut, a rescue hut that dates back to 1929 en route to Mount Kosciuszko.

For the less adventurous, a 15-minute walk through the snow gums that surround the Charlotte Pass Lookout on the Guthrie Range is no less spectacular.

Daily and weekly rates include bed and breakfast, ingredients to make your own packed lunch for excursions, two-course evening meal and all linens. Lunch is not provided on the day of check-out.

The lodge is open from Boxing Day to the end of January. Inquiries about summer bookings should be made directly to;
